Finding the Secret:
I found this 'Secret' after I came up with the idea for a personal development website. I knew in my heart that there were thousands of people just like me who wanted easy access to the very best personal development websites, blogs, quotes and products. I had the vision clearly in my mind, I even made drawings of the website and wrote down notes about the possible layout. This enthusiastic planning went on for months. Then it hit me, this is exactly what I had been doing with many of my life goals and dreams up until now. I had been planning and making lists, but never taking the necessary action that was needed to make them real. I was inspired, I was motivated, and very focused. However, some part of me held me back from turning my website idea and some of my goals from dreams into a reality. Does this sound familiar to you? Do you feel that you never seem to take the necessary action that is needed to make your goals and dreams come true? The secret is no real secret at all, it is really quite simple. You don't have to read another book or watch another personal development DVD to learn this 'secret'; you just have to take action today to start turning your goals into reality.
"Why live an ordinary life, when you can live an extraordinary one." Tony Robbins
Take action today:
If you have not already made a list of your goals please do so today. The goals can be financial, physical, lifestyle or educational. The most important thing is that they are your goals and that you are totally committed to achieving them.
The next step is to:
Write down why you really want to achieve your goals.
When you achieve your goals, how will it make you feel?
How will each goal improve your life?
"If your goals don't inspire you every day, you need a new set of goals." D Thomas
After writing down how achieving your goals will change and improve your life, you need to write a list of the action steps that you will need to take to turn your dreams into reality. This list can be tweaked and changed as you progress, but what is most important is that you design a roadmap for success.
This next step is the most important one of all. To take achieving your goals to another level you must take some form of action today! Not tomorrow when you think, "I will have more time."
Order a catalogue from your local health club, or local car dealership, today!
Go online and start researching evening courses, today!
Organise a brochure for your dream apartment in the sun, today!
Open up a new savings account, today!
Start exercising and getting into your best shape ever, today!
"Your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow." Robert Kiyosaki
Make your goals real:
You get the message. Take your goals off of the page and start making them real. The time for excuses and self-doubt is over. Today you are going to have a list of wonderful goals in front of you, do not let this great opportunity pass you by. You cannot have a dream of owning your own business, becoming a millionaire, owning a house in the sun or being in great physical shape and just hope that you will wake up tomorrow that it has come true. Your dreams will remain just dreams if you don't take small action steps today! If you are serious about your goals and your future, now is the time to take your passion and enthusiasm and put them to work for you. Once you take action today, you will get a great feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment. You will feel inspired to carry on to take the next action step that will bring you even closer to achieving your goals.
I also recommend that you surround yourself with like-minded, positive thinking, action orientated people that will push you and motivate you to achieve your goals. Jim Rohn said "You are the average of the five people that you spend the most time with." Who do you surround yourself with? Are they a positive influence in your life?
Help to keep yourself on track with your goals by writing each day in a personal journal. Take note of the daily action steps that need to be done and keep track of your positive progress. Remember, small daily steps will lead to massive results.
